To ensure you are buying correct paper roll size from us,we’ll teach you how to measure a paper roll.
Materials You Need :
- one ruler
- one paper roll
Manner to Check the Paper Roll Size :
- A: Width. The most important measurement on the paper roll is the width (A). This measurement will determine whether the paper roll will fit for your receipt printer or credit card machine. The regular width is 80mm ( 3 1/8″),57mm (2 1/4″),76mm ( 3″ ).
- B: Diameter. Take the measurement in millimeter from the diameter of the roll indicated by measurement (B). The most important point here to remember is you can have a smaller diameter that will always fit into your POS machine, but a bigger roll will not fit when you go to close the drawer or lid on your till roll printer.
- C: Core. The last measurement is not so important as almost all the till rolls, credit card rolls, cash register rolls and paper rolls all have a small core size of 12.7mm.
For 80 x 70 x 12mm paper roll,it means the roll width is 80mm,the diameter is 70mm,and the core is 12mm.
For 3 1/8” x 230′ x 7/16′‘,it means the paper roll width is 3 1/8”,and paper length is 230’,while the core is 7/16”.
You may also be curious about the math relationship between paper length & diameter. For example, for 80 x 80 mm 58gsm thermal roll, what’s the length of it ? and for 57 x 40 mm 55gsm thermal reel, what’s the length of it ?
