How to Install an External ATM Machine
Installing external ATM machines is similar to installing their indoor counterparts. The only difference is, most outdoor ATM machines have greater structural integrity. The machines not only require physical assembly, they also require programming. These machines are found virtually everywhere — at banks, malls, airports and retail stores. The machines provide clients of financial institutions the ability to make various transactions, including withdrawals and deposits. A debit or credit card is required from the client to access the machine’s services.
1.Remove the ATM machine from all packaging. Unbolt it from the pallet.
2.Put the ATM near a power outlet and data or phone line. Screw bolts into each slot at the bottom of the machine into the ground. Plug it in and press the power button.
3.Change the master password. Choose the merchant password to access the account. Enter the backup and primary phone numbers of the host communication, routing ID and terminal ID. Type in the encryption key strings that are provided by the processor, which is the financial group that hosts all authorized processing, terminal driving, card management, and support and switching services.
4.Exit supervisor mode. Use your card to do a balance inquiry and enter an invalid PIN to confirm interaction with the processor.
5.Place all decals onto the ATM, including the bank notice, surcharge sticker, Braille decals, topper displays and bank branding. Change the safe code from the default to the combination that the merchant chooses.
6.Review the manual. Train the merchant on the ATM’s management functions, changing receipt paper, performing closeouts, loading cash, and clearing jams and errors.
